Hmmm, let me think...what would you like to know about me...my name is Emma. I like my name. I was named after my great-grandmother and great-great aunt; Emma and Alice (twins). Only my mother preferred Alison. The only unfortunate thing is that I was born in South Africa (English parents) and my mum and dad had no idea how popular the name Emma had become in England, so now when I'm out and about, I keep thinking someone is calling for me. They're not. It's one of the many other Emmas out there.
I'm a twenty-something, book-obsessed, messy wife. I'm sure my husband would love for me to be this lovely house proud homemaker. I'm not. Come to that, he can be just as messy. It's not a great match when we'd love a really neat and tidy home. I have this tendency to not pick up after myself. It irritates me that I'm like that, never mind hubby!
We have many
I currently work in telephone sales. It's not a bad job because I get to work from the comfort of my own home. Whatever pays the bills. I love writing and I'm hoping that I can make that my bill-paying job one day. I know it's a tough business out there right now for writers trying to make a living out of it, so I'm just happy writing for me and seeing where it goes. If I don't enjoy it, then what would be the point?
I started this blog for many reasons which I've listed in my first post. The main reason is my love of books and writing are neck and neck. I figured that I may as well as jump on the bandwagon if it means I get my books read and keep my writing fingers nimble by keeping track with a review or two. Plus, digging out all my cross-stitching kits and many of my other hobbies (card-making, list making, making in general, and most recently, cooking) has me organising everything and moving along nicely on them. If I make some more friends along the way, then fantastic!
That's it really. I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I'm enjoying building it up.
